About Remove Line Breaks
Text copied from PDFs, emails and old documents often has a line break at the end of every line. Paste it here and get flowing text back in one click — with paragraphs kept, words that were split with a hyphen joined again and double spaces tidied.
Replace line breaks with a space, a comma, a <br> tag or anything else, remove only the empty lines, or put each sentence on its own line. Everything happens in your browser.
Good for
- Fixing text copied from PDFs and e-books
- Turning a list into a comma-separated line
- Cleaning email and chat text
Tip: Open a PDF directly — its text is extracted and you can fix the breaks straight away.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep my paragraphs?
Yes — “Remove line breaks, keep paragraphs” joins the lines inside each paragraph but keeps the empty line between paragraphs.
What about words split with a hyphen?
With “Join words split with a hyphen” on, a word split like hy- / phen at the end of a line becomes “hyphen” again, as often happens with text copied from PDFs.
Can I replace line breaks with commas?
Yes — choose a space, nothing, a comma, a semicolon, a br tag or any text of your own.
Can it do the opposite?
Yes: “One sentence per line” puts every sentence on its own line, and “Remove only empty lines” deletes blank lines.
Can I open files?
Yes — open or drop TXT, Markdown, CSV, HTML, JSON, subtitles, Word (.docx), OpenDocument (.odt), RTF and PDF files, even several at once.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Lines are joined in your browser, so nothing you paste leaves your device. A draft is kept only in this browser so you don't lose it.
