Frequently asked questions

Why use OGG?

OGG Vorbis is an open, royalty-free format used by games, Android, Discord bots, Wikipedia and many web apps. Opus is even more efficient, especially for speech.

What OGG quality should I pick?

Quality 5 (about 160 kbps) suits music; 3 (about 112 kbps) is good for most uses; 0–2 for speech. Converting from MP3 cannot exceed the MP3’s quality.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another with the same settings, each with its own download, plus a ZIP of all of them.

Can I edit the audio as well?

Yes — every audio tool here has the full editor: trim and remove parts on the waveform, fades, speed and pitch, volume and normalisation, a 10-band equaliser, effects, noise and hum removal and a vocal remover, with undo.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are converted in your browser, so your audio never leaves your device. Some formats use FFmpeg (WebAssembly), which downloads once — about 32 MB — and is then cached.
