How do I make an MP3 louder without distortion?
Raise Volume and keep the limiter on — peaks are held just below 0 dB so nothing clips. For the loudest clean result add some Compressor.
What is normalising to LUFS?
LUFS measures perceived loudness. Spotify and YouTube play at about −14 LUFS, podcasts at −16 and TV at −23. Normalising sets your file to that level exactly.
Can I make it quieter?
