Frequently asked questions
How do I remove background noise?
Open the recording, pick a preset (Voice recording is a good start), click Preview 10 s to compare with the original, adjust Reduce noise by, then Clean & save.
How do I remove hum or buzz?
Choose 50 Hz (Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia) or 60 Hz (Americas) under Electrical hum — the hum and its harmonics are filtered out.
Will it make my voice sound robotic?
Strong settings can. Start light, compare with the preview, and keep the noise level slider near the actual noise level.
Can it clean up video audio?
Yes — open the video, clean the audio, and save it as MP3 or WAV.
Can I edit the audio as well?
Yes — every audio tool here has the full editor: trim and remove parts on the waveform, fades, speed and pitch, volume and normalisation, a 10-band equaliser, effects, noise and hum removal and a vocal remover, with undo.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Noise is removed in your browser, so your audio never leaves your device. Some formats use FFmpeg (WebAssembly), which downloads once — about 32 MB — and is then cached.
