Frequently asked questions

How do I extract audio from a video?

Open the video, choose the format (MP3 by default) and bitrate in Export, optionally trim on the waveform, then click Extract audio.

Can I keep the original audio quality?

Yes — tick “Copy the original audio track”: the audio stream is saved exactly as it is in the video (M4A for MP4 / MOV), in seconds.

Can I clean up the sound?

Yes — the Clean tab removes background noise, hum and hiss, and the Sound tab normalises the volume.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another with the same settings, each with its own download, plus a ZIP of all of them.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything — decoding, editing and encoding — runs in your browser with Web Audio and FFmpeg (WebAssembly). The engine downloads once (about 32 MB) and is cached; your audio never leaves your device.
