Frequently asked questions

How do I crop a video?

Open it, choose an aspect ratio (or Free) and drag the box and its corners on the video, click Apply crop, then Crop & save.

How do I make a video vertical for TikTok or Reels?

Choose 9:16 and move the box over the part to keep — or in Resize choose Vertical 9:16 to fit the whole video with a blurred background instead of cropping.

Does cropping lower the quality?

The cropped area is re-encoded at very high quality; choose a quality or file size in Export if you want it smaller.

Which formats are supported?

Open MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, M4V, 3GP, TS and — after a quick in-browser conversion — AVI, WMV, FLV and MPEG. Save as MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, TS, AVI, FLV, 3GP, WMV or OGV with H.264, HEVC, VP9 or AV1.

Can I do other edits too?

Yes — every video tool here has the full editor: trim and cut, crop, rotate, resize for social media, speed, reverse, loop, filters, fades, text, logo, volume and export settings, with undo.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is cropped in your browser, using your device's built-in video encoder (WebCodecs) where available, so the video never leaves your device and there's no upload wait.
