Frequently asked questions

What does the ZATCA QR contain?

Five TLV fields encoded in Base64: seller name, VAT registration number, invoice date and time, invoice total including VAT, and the VAT amount — the phase 1 (generation) requirement for simplified tax invoices.

Can I use Arabic for the seller name?

Yes — the name is encoded in UTF-8, so Arabic, English or both work.

What about phase 2 (integration)?

Phase 2 invoices are signed and reported through the ZATCA Fatoora platform by compliant e-invoicing software, which produces an extended QR. This tool covers the phase 1 QR and checking its content.

How do I check a QR?

The decoded fields are shown in the table, and you can scan the QR with the ZATCA verification app.

Can I edit an existing ZATCA QR code?

Yes. Upload a photo, screenshot or PDF that contains the code, scan it with your camera, or paste its text. The code is read in your browser and the form is filled in, so you can change the amount or details and download a new code.

Can I make a poster or table stand?

Choose Poster / standee in the Design section: add your shop or company name, a call to action, a footer note and your colour, then download it as PNG or PDF in A6, A5, A4, square sticker or card size, or print it directly.

Can I create many codes at once?

Yes. Open the Bulk from CSV tab, paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets or open a CSV file, and download a ZIP of PNG codes, a PDF with one poster per page, an A4 label sheet with 12 codes per page, or a CSV of the payloads. Empty cells take the values from the form.

Is my invoice data uploaded?

No. The code is made in your browser. Your details are remembered only in this browser, so the form is filled in next time.
