About EAN-13 Barcode Generator
Make print-ready retail barcodes in seconds. Type the product number and the check digit is calculated — or verified, with the correct digit shown if there is a mistake — and the GS1 prefix tells you where the number was issued. EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E and ISBN barcodes for books are included.
Set the bar width, height, digits, quiet zone and colours, add a 2- or 5-digit add-on, and download a sharp 300 DPI PNG, a vector SVG for printers or a PDF. Have many products? Paste all the numbers to get a ZIP of images, an A4 sheet of labels or a CSV list.
Good for
- Product labels and packaging
- ISBN barcodes for self-published books
- Batch labels for stock and inventory
Tip: Use SVG for print — vector bars stay perfectly sharp at any size.
Frequently asked questions
What is the check digit?
The last digit of an EAN or UPC, calculated from the others with the GS1 modulo-10 rule. Enter 12 digits and it is added; enter 13 and it is verified, with the correct digit shown if it is wrong.
Can I make barcodes for my products?
You can create the image for any valid number. To sell in shops you need real numbers licensed from GS1 in your country — the generator shows the GS1 prefix of each number.
Can I make an ISBN barcode for a book?
Yes — choose ISBN and type the ISBN-13 or an old 10-digit ISBN; it is converted to the 978 Bookland EAN with the ISBN printed above. Add a 5-digit price add-on if you need one.
Can I create many barcodes at once?
Yes. In “Many barcodes”, paste one number per line and download all of them as PNG or SVG in a ZIP, as an A4 label sheet PDF, or as a CSV with check digits.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser — camera images, photos and the codes never leave your device.
