Frequently asked questions
What is a Swiss QR-bill?
The QR-bill (QR-Rechnung, QR-facture) replaced the old orange and red payment slips in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. It has a Swiss QR code with all payment details, so the payer just scans it in the banking app.
What is the difference between a QR-IBAN and an IBAN?
A QR-IBAN (bank code 30000–31999) must be used with a 27-digit QR reference, which lets you match incoming payments automatically. A normal IBAN works with an RF creditor reference or with no reference at all.
Is the QR-bill made to the official standard?
Yes. The QR code follows the Swiss Implementation Guidelines (version 2.3, SPC 0200) with structured addresses — required since November 2025 — and the Swiss cross. The payment part uses the official 210 × 105 mm layout.
How do I print the payment slip?
Click Print on A4: the payment part is placed at the bottom of an A4 page, at 100% size. Print on perforated paper or plain paper with a cut line. You can also download it as an SVG for your invoice layout.
Can I create a QR-bill without an amount?
Yes — leave the amount empty and the payer enters it. The same works for the payer: leave it empty for a blank field.
Can I edit an existing QR-bill QR code?
Yes. Upload a photo, screenshot or PDF that contains the code, scan it with your camera, or paste its text. The code is read in your browser and the form is filled in, so you can change the amount or details and download a new code.
Can I create many codes at once?
Yes. Open the Bulk from CSV tab, paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets or open a CSV file, and download a ZIP of PNG codes, a PDF with one poster per page, an A4 label sheet with 12 codes per page, or a CSV of the payloads. Empty cells take the values from the form.
Are my bank details uploaded?
No. The QR-bill is made in your browser. Your details are remembered only in this browser, so the form is filled in next time.
