About Split PDF
Break one PDF into several files exactly the way you need. Split every few pages, at the pages you mark with the scissors, by ranges such as 1-3 and 4-10, every page on its own, odd and even pages, into two halves, by the document’s bookmarks — one file per chapter, named after it — or into files that stay under a size limit for email.
Every page shows which output file it will go into, so you can see the result before you split. You can still rotate, delete or reorder pages first, and you download each file on its own or all together as a ZIP. Everything happens in your browser.
Good for
- Separating a scanned bundle into individual documents
- Sending only the pages someone needs
- Breaking a large report into chapters or email-sized parts
Tip: To keep just a few pages in one file, choose “By page ranges”, type them in and tick “Put all ranges into one PDF”.
Frequently asked questions
How can I split a PDF?
Every few pages (for example every 2 pages), at the pages you choose with the ✂ button, by page ranges such as 1-3, 4-10, every page into its own PDF, odd and even pages, into two halves, by its bookmarks (one PDF per chapter), or into files no bigger than a size you set.
Can I see the result before splitting?
Yes. Every page card is coloured and labelled with the file it will go into, and a red line marks each split — it updates as you change the options.
Can I extract only some pages?
Yes. Choose “By page ranges” and type the pages you want, for example 2-5, 9. Tick “Put all ranges into one PDF” to get a single file with just those pages.
Can I split by bookmarks or chapters?
Yes. If the PDF has bookmarks, “By bookmarks” starts a new PDF at each top-level bookmark and names the file after it.
Can I split a PDF into files under a certain size?
Yes. Choose “By maximum file size” and enter a size in KB or MB; pages are packed into files as large as possible without going over.
Can I rotate or remove pages before splitting?
Yes. Use the buttons on each page card to rotate or delete it, or drag pages into a new order — the split uses the pages as you arrange them.
Does splitting lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied into the new files as they are, so text, images and links look exactly as they did in the original. Splitting also happens in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
