About PDF to Word
Turn a PDF back into a Word document you can actually edit. The converter reads each page, works out the headings, paragraphs, bullet and numbered lists, centred lines, two-column layouts and tables, keeps the fonts and sizes, and puts the pictures where they were — then writes a genuine .docx that opens in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.
Scanned PDFs are read with OCR in the language you choose, page numbers and repeated headers are left out, and you can choose “Exact look” to place each page as a picture instead. Convert several PDFs at once, pick only the pages you need, and keep everything private: nothing is uploaded.
Good for
- Editing a contract, CV or report you only have as a PDF
- Reusing text, tables and images from a document
- Turning scanned letters and forms into editable text
Tip: If a complex brochure comes out messy, try “Exact look” for an identical copy, or convert just the pages with the text you need.
Frequently asked questions
Does it create a real Word (.docx) file?
Yes. You get a genuine .docx that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages, with proper headings, paragraphs, lists and tables you can edit.
Will the formatting be kept?
Headings, bold and italic text, fonts and sizes, bullet and numbered lists, centred lines, two-column layouts, simple tables and images are rebuilt as editable Word content. Complex designs may need small touch-ups; choose “Exact look” to place each page as a picture instead.
Can it convert scanned PDFs?
Yes. Pages without real text are read with OCR in the language you choose — English, French, German, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, Chinese and more. The first time, the language data (about 10 MB) is downloaded; your file stays on your device.
Are images kept?
Yes — pictures in the PDF are placed in the Word document where they appear on the page. You can turn this off under the options.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Type a page range on the file card, or switch to the Pages view and remove the pages you don’t need.
Can I convert several PDFs at once?
Yes. Each PDF becomes its own Word document; download them one by one or together as a ZIP.
Is it safe to convert confidential documents?
Yes. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so contracts, statements and other private files are never sent anywhere.
Why does the Word file look slightly different from the PDF?
A PDF fixes every line in place, while Word lets text flow. Most layouts convert cleanly, but elaborate designs can need small touch-ups — or choose Exact look to keep each page as a picture.
