About Word to PDF
Turn Word documents (.docx) into PDFs that look the same for everyone and can’t be accidentally edited — the format most forms, employers and printers ask for. The converter keeps text styles, colours, alignment, lists, tables with borders and shading, images, headers and footers, page size, margins and page breaks.
The text in the PDF is real, selectable and searchable, links stay clickable and headings become bookmarks. Choose a different page size or margins, add page numbers, convert many files at once or combine them into one PDF — all in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Good for
- Sending a CV or cover letter as a PDF
- Submitting assignments, reports and forms
- Sharing documents that must look the same on every device
Tip: Have an old .doc file? Open it in Word and save it as .docx first.
Frequently asked questions
Will the PDF look like my Word document?
Yes. Text styles, sizes and colours, alignment, lists, tables with borders and shading, images, headers and footers, page size, margins and page breaks are kept. Fonts are matched to their closest PDF standard (Arial, Times New Roman or Courier) so lines break exactly as they will in the PDF.
Can I select and search the text in the PDF?
Yes. The text is real text, not a picture — you can select, copy and search it. Pages with scripts the standard PDF fonts don’t cover (for example Hindi or Chinese) are placed as high-quality pictures instead, and the result tells you how many.
Are links and headings kept?
Yes. Web links stay clickable, and headings become bookmarks so readers can jump to each section from the PDF’s side panel.
Can I change the page size or margins?
Yes. Keep the document’s own settings, or choose A4, US Letter or US Legal and narrow, normal or wide margins. Page numbers can be added too.
Can I convert several Word files at once?
Yes. Each file becomes its own PDF, downloadable one by one or as a ZIP — or tick “Combine all into one PDF”.
Does it work with old .doc files?
It works with .docx (Word 2007 and later). For an old .doc file, open it in Word and choose Save As → Word Document (.docx) first.
Does my document leave my computer?
No. The conversion happens inside your browser, so the Word file is never uploaded or stored anywhere.
