Frequently asked questions

What is a good keyword density?

There is no fixed number. Natural writing usually has the main keyword around 0.5–2.5%. Much higher looks like keyword stuffing, which can hurt rankings — write for readers and use related words.

Can it analyse a live page?

Yes — choose “Analyse a URL”. The page is fetched and menus, headers and footers are removed so only the main content is counted; you also see whether keywords appear in the title, description and headings.

What are stop words?

Very common words like “the”, “and” or “of” that would otherwise top every list. They are filtered out for single words; phrases keep them in the middle.

How is density calculated?

Number of times the keyword appears × number of words in it ÷ total words × 100.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No — pasted text is analysed in your browser. When you analyse a live URL, our server fetches that page for you; the page isn't saved.
