Frequently asked questions

How do I get my IBAN from my account number?

Choose your country and enter the bank code (sort code, BLZ, bank and branch code) and account number. The IBAN check digits — and the national check digits for France, Spain, Belgium and Norway — are calculated for you. Compare the result with your bank statement.

Are generated IBANs real?

Test IBANs have valid check digits and the right format but belong to no bank account. Use them only to test software, forms and databases.

Which countries are supported?

About 80 IBAN countries, including all SEPA countries, the UK, Switzerland, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkey, Brazil and more.

Are my bank details sent anywhere?

No. The IBAN is calculated in your browser, so your account number stays on your device.

Why were zeros added to my account number?

Each country's IBAN has a fixed length, so a shorter account number is padded with leading zeros, the same way your bank does it.
