About Date Difference
Find out exactly how long it is between two dates — in years, months and days, and in total days, weeks, hours and minutes. Add times for precise durations and decide whether the end date counts.
Working days leave out weekends (your choice of weekend days) and the holidays you list, and a chart shows how many of each weekday the period contains. You can also add or subtract years, months, weeks, days or working days to find a deadline.
Good for
- Project deadlines and notice periods
- Leave, travel and hotel stays
- Countdowns to events and due dates
Tip: Paste your company holidays once — they are used for both working-day counts and deadlines.
Frequently asked questions
Does it count the end date?
By default it counts the days from the start date up to the end date, like most calculators. Tick “Include the end date” to count both days (e.g. for hotel stays or leave).
How are working days counted?
All days in the period minus the weekend days you choose (Saturday–Sunday, Sunday only or Friday–Saturday) and any holidays you list.
Can I add working days to a date?
Yes — in Add / subtract, tick “Count the days as working days” to skip weekends and holidays, e.g. for delivery or notice periods.
Can I save or share a calculation?
Yes — click Share to copy a link that opens the calculator with your numbers, Print / PDF to save the results, or open History to go back to recent calculations.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Your recent calculations are kept only in this browser (History), and a shared link contains just the numbers you entered.
