- Untick any sheets to leave out, choose whether columns are lined up by header name or by position, and whether to add a Sheet column.
- Click Combine sheets to download the workbook with the combined sheet first (or only the combined sheet).
About Combine Excel Sheets
Combine the sheets of a workbook into a single sheet — for example one sheet per month, region or salesperson — so you can sort, filter and pivot all the data at once.
Choose which sheets to include, line the columns up by their header names so different column orders still match, and add a column with the sheet each row came from. Values, dates and number formats are kept, and the combined sheet can sit in front of the original sheets. Nothing is uploaded.
Good for
- Putting monthly sheets into one table for a pivot table
- Collecting region or team sheets into one list
- Preparing a workbook's data for import elsewhere
Tip: Leave out summary or notes sheets — they would add rows that aren't data.
Frequently asked questions
How are the sheets combined?
The tables are placed one under another in a new sheet. The header row is kept once, and columns are lined up by their header names, so sheets with columns in a different order still match. Columns only some sheets have are added at the end.
Can I choose which sheets to combine?
Yes. All sheets are ticked at first — untick the ones to leave out, such as a summary or notes sheet.
How can I tell which sheet a row came from?
Keep “Add a Sheet column” ticked and the first column shows the name of each row’s sheet.
Are the original sheets kept?
By default the combined sheet is added in front of the original sheets in a new workbook. Choose “Only the combined sheet” to get just that. Your original file is never changed.
Are numbers and dates kept?
Yes. Values keep their type and number format — dates stay dates and amounts stay numbers.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser — your workbook never leaves your device.
