Can I keep the transparent background?
Yes — PNG, WebP and ICO keep transparency. JPG has none, so choose white or another background colour.
Can I make an icon from an SVG?

Why does my SVG look different?
SVGs that use web fonts or link to outside files may draw differently, because those files aren’t available. Converting text to outlines in your design program fixes this.
