Merge Excel

Merge Excel, ODS and CSV files into one workbook — keep every sheet, or stack all rows into one sheet with columns matched by header.

or drag & drop the workbooks to merge here

How to merge Excel files

  1. Select or drop the workbooks to merge (.xlsx, .xls, .ods or .csv) and put them in order with the arrows.
  2. Choose Keep every sheet for one workbook with all the sheets, or All rows in one sheet to stack the tables — columns are matched by their header names and a Source column can show where each row came from.
  3. Click Merge files to download the merged .xlsx (or .ods, .xls or .csv).

About Merge Excel

Merge several Excel workbooks into one. Keep every sheet of every file in a single workbook, with each sheet named after its file, or stack the rows of all the files into one sheet to build a single table from monthly reports, branches or exports.

When stacking, columns are matched by their header names, so files with columns in a different order line up, the header appears once, and a Source column can show where each row came from. .xlsx, .xls, .ods and .csv files can be mixed, and number formats are kept. Nothing is uploaded.

Good for

  • Combining monthly or branch reports into one table
  • Collecting sheets from several workbooks into one file
  • Merging exports with columns in different orders

Tip: Set the order with the arrows first — files are merged from the top down.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep each file as its own sheet?

Yes. With Keep every sheet you get one workbook containing all the sheets of all the files, each named after its file. Values, number formats, column widths and merged cells come along.

Can I combine all the rows into one sheet?

Yes. All rows in one sheet stacks the tables one under another. The header is kept once at the top, and columns are matched by their names, so files with the columns in a different order — or with extra columns — still line up.

How do I know which file a row came from?

Tick Add a Source column and the first column shows the file (and sheet) each row came from.

Can I merge only one sheet from each workbook?

Yes. Take the first sheet, every sheet, or the sheet with a given name from each file.

Can I mix Excel and CSV files?

Yes. .xlsx, .xls, .xlsm, .ods, .csv and .tsv files can be merged together.

Is formatting kept?

Number formats (dates, currency, percentages), column widths and merged cells are kept. Colours, fonts and charts are not copied.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Merging happens entirely in your browser — your workbooks never leave your device.
