About JPG to PNG
JPG is the most widely used photo format; PNG is a lossless format that keeps transparency. Converting gives you lossless quality with transparent backgrounds — ideal for logos, screenshots, graphics and anything you will edit again.
Drop in one picture or hundreds and they are converted together with a live before / after preview that shows the new file size. Choose the quality, the colour for transparent areas, resize on the way, set the DPI and keep photo details — everything runs in your browser, so your images stay private.
Good for
- Editing pictures without losing more quality
- Logos, icons and graphics with transparent backgrounds
- Screenshots and diagrams with sharp text
Tip: Choose “PNG-8” for graphics with few colours — files are often 60–80% smaller.
Frequently asked questions
Does converting to PNG improve quality?
No — it can’t bring back detail JPG compression removed, but PNG won’t lose any more quality when you edit and save the picture again.
Can I convert many JPG files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like — they are all converted with the same settings, and you download them one by one or together as a ZIP.
Can I change the size or quality too?
Yes. Under “Resize and more” you can fit the pictures within a width and height, scale them by a percentage or set the DPI.
Can I convert to other formats?
Yes. Pick another format from the list — JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF or ICO.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and your photos never leave your device.
When should I keep JPG instead?
For photos, JPG is usually the better format — a PNG of the same photo is often several times larger. Convert to PNG when you need lossless editing or plan to add transparency later.
