How to resize a photo for IBPS
- Select or drop a recent front-facing photo without cap or dark glasses.
- The photo is cropped to 200 × 230 pixels with your face centred, the background made plain and the file kept within 20–50 KB.
- Click Make IBPS photo and upload the JPG.
About IBPS Photo Resize
Bank exam forms from IBPS, SBI and RBI check the photo strictly: 200 × 230 pixels, a JPG between 20 and 50 KB, a light background, no cap or dark glasses. Add a photo and the tool crops, cleans and saves it to those rules.
It works for IBPS PO, Clerk, RRB and SO, SBI PO and Clerk and other bank exams. Resize Signature handles the signature and thumb impression. Everything stays in your browser.
Good for
- IBPS PO, Clerk, RRB and SO forms
- SBI PO, Clerk and RBI exams
- Re-uploading a rejected photo
Tip: Keep the original photo — the same one is often needed again for the main exam and the interview.
Frequently asked questions
What photo does IBPS ask for?
A recent colour passport photo of 200 × 230 pixels, JPG, 20 KB to 50 KB, on a light background, without cap, hat or dark glasses. Check the notice of your exam.
Does this work for SBI PO and Clerk?
Yes — SBI, RBI and other bank exams use the same 200 × 230 px, 20–50 KB rule.
What about the signature and thumb impression?
Use Resize Signature: it has presets for the 140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB signature, the 240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB left thumb impression and the 800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB handwritten declaration that IBPS and SBI ask for.
How is my face positioned?
The face is found automatically and the photo is framed so your head (chin to crown) has the size the rules ask for, with the right space above it. Drag the photo or use the zoom slider to fine-tune — the guide lines show where the crown and chin should be.
Can I change the background?
Yes. The person is separated from the background in your browser, and the background is replaced with white, off-white, light grey, blue, red or any colour. Choose “Keep the photo’s own” if your wall is already plain.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Face detection, background replacement and everything else run in your browser — your photo never leaves your device.
