- Choose what to remove: everything, only the location, or private details such as serial numbers and owner; keep the orientation and colour profile.
- Click Remove metadata and download the clean photos.
About EXIF Viewer & Remover
Photos can give away more than you think — the exact place they were taken, the date and time, your camera’s serial number, your name. See everything a photo contains, then remove it before you share it.
Remove all metadata, only the GPS location, or private details while keeping camera settings. JPG, PNG and WebP are cleaned without re-compressing, so quality stays exactly the same; the orientation and colour profile can be kept. Clean a whole batch at once, privately in your browser.
Good for
- Protecting your location before posting photos online
- Sending photos to buyers or clients without personal details
- Cleaning images before publishing them on a website
Tip: Use “Only the location” when you want to keep camera settings for photography communities.
Frequently asked questions
Is quality lost when removing EXIF?
No. For JPG, PNG and WebP only the metadata sections are removed — the picture data is copied unchanged, so there is no re-compression at all.
Can I remove only the GPS location?
Yes. Choose “Only the location (GPS)” to keep camera details and dates but remove where the photo was taken (JPG).
Why keep the orientation?
Phones often store photos sideways with a note to rotate them. Keeping that note keeps them the right way up; it reveals nothing personal.
Does it remove the hidden thumbnail too?
Yes — the embedded preview, which can show the uncropped original, is removed with the rest.
Are my pictures uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser — your pictures and their details never leave your device.
