About DNS Lookup
Look up DNS records.
It works in your browser for speed and privacy, remembers your settings on this device, and every result can be copied, downloaded or shared.
Good for
- Setting up domains, email and SSL
- Troubleshooting websites and email delivery
- Checking DNS changes after a migration
Tip: Lower the TTL a day before moving a site, so DNS changes spread in minutes instead of hours.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check if my DNS change has propagated?
Choose “Propagation check” and the record type. The same record is asked from Google, Cloudflare, AdGuard and AliDNS; if they differ, caches have not expired yet (see the TTL).
What do the email checks test?
MX servers and provider, SPF (allowed senders), DMARC (anti-spoofing policy) and DKIM signing keys for common selectors — the records Gmail and Outlook now require for bulk senders.
Can I look up an IP address?
Yes — type an IP to get its reverse DNS (PTR) name.
Which resolvers are used?
Public DNS-over-HTTPS from Google (8.8.8.8), Cloudflare (1.1.1.1), AdGuard and Alibaba — queried straight from your browser.
How are the lookups made?
Your browser asks the public resolvers directly over HTTPS — Google, Cloudflare, AdGuard or AliDNS. Our server isn't involved.
