About Port Checker

Check which TCP ports are open on a server or IP.

It works in your browser for speed and privacy, remembers your settings on this device, and every result can be copied, downloaded or shared.

Good for

  • Testing firewalls and port forwarding
  • Checking game and web servers
  • Finding exposed services

Tip: After changing firewall rules, check again from here — it shows what the internet sees.

Frequently asked questions

What does open, closed and filtered mean?

Open: a service accepted the connection. Closed: the server refused it. Filtered: a firewall dropped it silently, so there was no answer.

Is it safe and legal?

It makes one normal connection per port, like a browser does. Only check servers you own or have permission to test.

Why are database ports flagged?

MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and remote-desktop ports open to the whole internet are common causes of breaches — restrict them with a firewall or VPN.

Can it check my home router?

Type your public IP address to see which ports are reachable from the internet, for example for a game server or port forwarding.

Where are the ports tested from?

From our server, so you see what the internet sees — not your own network. Results aren't saved.
