About Split Image
Cut one picture into many — for a striking 3 × 3 Instagram grid, a swipeable carousel panorama, printing a poster on several sheets, or slicing a sprite sheet. Choose rows and columns, a fixed tile size, or a preset.
The preview shows exactly where the cuts go. Tiles can be made square first, are cut at full resolution and are numbered by row and column, in sequence or in Instagram posting order. Download them all as one ZIP.
Good for
- Instagram grid posts and carousel panoramas
- Printing large pictures across several pages
- Slicing sprite sheets and image maps
Tip: For a 3 × 3 Instagram grid, post the tiles in the numbered order — the last tile goes first.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make an Instagram grid?
Choose “Grid — 3 × 3” (or 1 × 3, 2 × 3). The tiles are made square and numbered in posting order, so you post the last tile first and the grid appears complete on your profile.
What is a carousel panorama?
A wide photo split into 2 or 4 square slides. Swiping through the carousel shows the whole panorama, with each slide continuing exactly where the last one ends.
Can I split into tiles of a fixed size?
Yes — choose “Tiles of a fixed size” and set the width and height; the last row and column hold what is left.
Is quality lost?
No — every tile is cut from the full-resolution picture.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. Splitting happens in your browser, so the picture stays on your device.
