Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a random number between 1 and 100?

Set Minimum to 1 and Maximum to 100 (or click the “1 – 100” preset) and press Generate — or press Enter or the Space bar.

Can I get several numbers without repeats?

Yes — set “How many” and tick “No duplicates”. Every number appears at most once, which is what you need for lotteries, raffles and draws.

Are the numbers truly random?

They come from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator with rejection sampling, so every number in the range is exactly equally likely.

Can it roll dice or pick lottery numbers?

Yes — presets roll a d6, two dice or a d20 (with real dice faces) and pick 6/49, Powerball and EuroMillions numbers.

What is the normal distribution option?

Instead of every number being equally likely, values cluster around a mean with a chosen standard deviation — useful for simulations and test data.
