JSON to CSV

Turn API responses and JSON exports into a spreadsheet you can open, sort and share.

How to convert JSON to CSV

  1. Paste JSON (an array of objects works best) or open a file.
  2. Pick the delimiter, how nested data is handled and which columns to keep — check the table preview.
  3. Download CSV or Excel, or copy the CSV.

About JSON to CSV

Convert JSON to CSV or Excel.

Everything works in your browser, so it is instant and private, and your settings are remembered on this device.

Good for

  • Exporting API data to spreadsheets
  • Sharing data with non-developers
  • Importing JSON into databases and BI tools

Tip: Use semicolons for Excel in countries that write decimals with a comma.

Frequently asked questions

How are nested objects converted?

With “Flatten objects” on, {"address":{"city":"Pune"}} becomes a column named address.city. Arrays of values are joined (a; b), split into columns (tags.0, tags.1) or kept as JSON text.

Will the CSV open correctly in Excel?

Yes — “Excel-friendly” adds a UTF-8 byte-order mark so accents and other scripts display correctly, with Windows line endings. You can also download a real .xlsx file.

My JSON is an object, not an array — will it work?

Yes. An object whose values are objects becomes one row per key (with a _key column), an object holding one array of records uses that array, and any other object becomes a single row.

Can I choose which columns to export?

Yes — click column names in the side panel to hide or show them.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Everything is processed by JavaScript in your browser — nothing you paste or open is sent to a server, so it is safe for API responses, tokens, configs and customer data. It also works offline once the page has loaded.
