How to calculate GST

  1. Enter the amount and choose whether it excludes GST (add) or includes it (remove).
  2. Pick the GST rate and intra-state (CGST + SGST) or inter-state (IGST) supply.
  3. See the GST, net and gross amounts — or switch to Invoice to add many items with their own rates.

About GST Calculator

Calculate GST for any price instantly. Add GST to a net amount or take it out of a GST-inclusive price, and see the tax split into CGST and SGST for supplies within a state or IGST between states.

For bills and quotations, the invoice mode handles many items with their own quantities, prices and rates, shows the GST for each rate and the totals, and can be printed or saved as CSV.

Good for

  • Pricing products and services with GST
  • Checking GST on bills and invoices
  • Preparing quotations with mixed GST rates

Tip: Paste items from a spreadsheet — tabs work as separators too.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove GST from a price?

Divide the price by (1 + rate ÷ 100). For 18% GST on ₹1,180: 1,180 ÷ 1.18 = ₹1,000, so the GST is ₹180. Choose “includes GST (remove it)”.

What is the difference between CGST, SGST and IGST?

For supplies within a state, GST is split equally into Central GST and State GST (e.g. 9% + 9% for 18%). For supplies between states, the whole amount is IGST.

Can I calculate a bill with several items?

Yes — in Invoice mode enter one item per line (name, quantity, price, rate). You get the taxable value, GST per rate with the CGST/SGST split, and the total, ready to print or download as CSV.

Can I save or share a calculation?

Yes — click Share to copy a link that opens the calculator with your numbers, Print / PDF to save the results, or open History to go back to recent calculations.

Is my data stored or sent anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Your recent calculations are kept only in this browser (History), and a shared link contains just the numbers you entered.
