About Sign PDF

Sign a PDF without printing or scanning it. Type your name and choose a handwriting style, draw your signature with a mouse, finger or pen, or upload a photo of it — the paper background is removed. Then drag it into place and resize it.

Add initials, your name, today’s date in the format you need, tick and cross marks, free text and a company stamp; fill in form fields; and place initials on every page in one click. You can remember your signature on this device for next time. Everything happens in your browser — the document is never uploaded.

Good for

  • Signing contracts, offer letters and agreements
  • Initialling every page of a document
  • Filling in, dating and signing forms

Tip: This adds a simple electronic signature. Some legal documents need a certified digital signature instead — check if you’re unsure.

Frequently asked questions

How do I create my signature?

Type your name and pick a handwriting style, draw it with a mouse, finger or pen, or upload a photo or scan of your signature on paper — the white background is removed automatically. Choose black, blue or red ink.

Can I add initials, my name and the date?

Yes. Initials are made the same way as signatures. Name and Date place your name and today’s date (in the format you choose) as normal text you can still change. There are also tick and cross marks, free text and a company stamp tool.

Can I put my initials on every page?

Yes. Select the initials (or any item) and use Place on other pages: all pages, all except the last, the first or last page, or pages you choose.

Can I fill in the form before signing?

Yes. Fillable fields in the PDF show on the page — type in them, tick boxes and choose options, then tick “Lock filled fields” if the answers shouldn’t be changed afterwards.

Will my signature be saved?

Only if you tick “Remember on this device”. It is then kept in this browser only, so you can sign faster next time, and you can remove it at any time. It is never uploaded.

Is this signature legally binding?

It is a simple electronic signature — an image of your signature on the document — which is accepted for many everyday agreements. Some documents require a certified digital signature or a witnessed signature; check the requirements if you are unsure.

Does my document leave my device?

No. Signing happens in your browser, so neither the PDF nor your signature is ever uploaded.
