Frequently asked questions

How do I make pixel art from a photo?

Open it, pick the width in pixels (64–128 works well), choose a palette and dithering, then download — as a large blocky picture or a tiny sprite.

What palettes are available?

The best colours from your photo (2–64), or classic palettes: PICO-8, NES, Game Boy, Commodore 64, EGA, CGA, grayscale, black & white, sepia and vaporwave.

Can I use it for games?

Yes — choose “1 px per pixel” to get the exact sprite size, or Scaled ×N for crisp enlargements. It is saved as PNG.

Can I edit many photos at once?

Yes — add several photos and the same settings apply to all of them; download each one or all of them as a ZIP.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Every effect runs in your browser on your own device — your photos are never uploaded, and the result is rendered at full resolution when you download.
