About Blur Region
Share photos and screenshots without sharing what shouldn’t be seen. Draw rectangles or ellipses over faces, number plates, names, addresses or screens, or let the tool find every face for you — the face detection runs on your device.
Hide the areas with blur, pixelation or a solid box at the strength you choose, with soft or hard edges — or keep them sharp and blur everything around them. Works on many pictures at once, and nothing is uploaded.
Good for
- Hiding faces of children and bystanders before posting
- Covering number plates, names and addresses
- Removing private details from screenshots
Tip: For text and numbers, use a solid box — it can never be reversed.
Frequently asked questions
How does face finding work?
A small face-detection model runs in your browser and marks every face it finds, even in group photos. Check the result and draw any faces it missed.
Blur, pixelate or a box — which is safest?
A solid box hides details completely. Strong blur and large pixels are also very hard to undo; weak blur on small text can sometimes still be read.
Can I blur the background instead?
Yes. Tick “Hide everything except the areas” to keep the marked areas sharp and blur everything else, like a portrait-mode photo.
Can I blur faces in many photos at once?
Yes — click “Find faces in all pictures”, check each picture, and download them together as a ZIP.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser — your pictures never leave your device.
